ESCAPE THE HEAT WITH TRAMWAY SUMMER PASS
PALM SPRINGS, CA (April 29, 2019) Southern California residents have long known that the coolest spot during the hot summer months is just a 10-minute tram ride away in the alpine forests atop majestic Mount San Jacinto. Beginning May 1, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s Summer Pass makes “escaping the heat” easy—and affordable—for everyone when passes again go on sale.
Valid through August 31 2019, the Summer Pass includes unlimited Tram admissions for the pass-holder, a 10% discount on additional Tram admissions (up to 4 in party), a 10% discount at Peaks Restaurant or Pines Café, and unlimited free parking. Cost of the Summer Pass is $80 for adults and seniors and $40 for children ages 3-10, and may be purchased at the Tramway’s Valley Station or online at www.pstramway.com beginning May 1.
Summer Pass holders also enjoy over 50 miles of hiking trails, picnic areas and multiple campgrounds all within the 14,000-acre pristine forest of the Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness.
The Tramway’s Mountain Station offers spectacular viewpoints, two restaurants, cocktail lounge, gift shop and natural history museum.
The first tram up Monday through Friday is 10:00 a.m. and the first tram up Saturday and Sunday is 8:00 a.m. The last tram up daily is 8:00 p.m. and the last tram down is 9:45 p.m.

EARLY OPENING FOR PALM SPRINGS AERIAL TRAMWAY
Extended Hours Monday April 15 – Friday April 19
PALM SPRINGS, CA (April 8, 2019). The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is happy to announce early opening beginning Monday, April 15 and running through Friday, April 19. For those five days, the Tram will open an hour early at 9:00 a.m.
Spring Break visitors will have an extra hour to enjoy everything the Tramway has to offer including spectacular views, gift shops, dining, documentary-style films and over 50 miles of hiking trails in the Mt. San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness.

ROTARY CLUB COMMEMORATES TRAM REOPENING
Breakfast Event Celebrates Attraction’s Past, Present and Future
PALM SPRINGS, CA (April 5, 2019) On Sunday, April 7, Rotary Club of Palm Springs presents “Breakfast On the Mountain,” at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s Mountain Station starting at 10:00 a.m.
This event features a buffet breakfast followed by a Tramway history panel discussion moderated by KGX radio personality Joey English. Panelists include Steve Nichols, whose family donated the land where the Tram’s Valley Station now sits, and James Landells, whose family’s aviation company performed the more than 23,000 helicopter trips required for the Tramway’s construction. There will also be a special performance by the Encore High School for the Performing Arts Madrigals.
According to Chapter Incoming President Jerry Ogburn, “With the Tramway’s reopening this week, we thought this would be the perfect time for Rotary to look back at the Tram’s 56-year history, as well as look forward to all the exciting improvements in the coming years.”
